Program of the Trip

Day 1: Arrival in Iceland

Our representative will welcome you at the airport and, with a private transfer, take you to our office to pick up your campervan. Then, in convoy style, all the campervans head together to Reykjavik!

Day 2: Visit to the Golden Circle

The second day of our adventure begins with a visit to the famous Golden Circle – we explore Þingvellir National Park, admire the unique geyser and geothermal fields, enjoy time by the Gullfoss waterfall, visit an impressive volcanic crater, and take a walk through the town of Selfoss. Overnight stay at a campsite.

Day 3: South Coast

The third day is reserved for the most beautiful part of Iceland – the South Coast! We travel along the magical Ring Road, following the southern coast where the ocean and dramatic landscapes merge into an incredible symphony. We visit the most stunning waterfalls, black volcanic beaches, enchanting glaciers, drive past lava fields, and explore the southernmost town – Vík. We also visit Skaftafell National Park, home to the largest glaciers, and stay overnight at a campsite.

Day 4: Glacier Lagoon and Diamond Beach

The fourth day has a lighter schedule and is dedicated to rest and relaxation. We visit the impressive Glacier Lagoon (Jökulsárlón), which will definitely take your breath away. Of course, we’ll also visit the black Diamond Beach, after which we head to the town of Höfn, where we stay at a campsite and have free time to relax for the rest of the day. And of course, we’ll gather for some beer and viking games!! 🙂

Day 5: East Coast

On the fifth day, we visit the area where the famous Vestrahorn Mountain is located – a place that captivates with its natural beauty and magical landscapes. In this area, we also find the reflective Stokksnes Beach, perfect for taking your most stunning photos! We visit the Viking Village, where some of your favorite series were filmed – Game of Thrones, The Witcher, Vikings… We take a short break to try some of Iceland’s best waffles, then continue to the eastern town of Egilsstaðir. Overnight stay at a campsite.

Day 6: Icelandic Highlands and Fjords

On the sixth day, our adventure continues through the Icelandic Highlands, where dramatic cliffs and volcanic terrain create magical landscapes, and the fjords will leave you speechless. We drive through small fishing villages, dramatic fjords, and enjoy breathtaking ocean views. This region truly feels like being in a movie! Next on our route, we visit the geothermal fields at Mývatn, followed by a relaxing soak in the milky-blue Mývatn Nature Baths. We also visit Europe’s most powerful waterfall – Dettifoss – and the enchanting Goðafoss waterfall. Finally, we drive to the “capital of the north” – Akureyri, where we stay at a campsite. After a short rest, we all go together for a Viking beer tasting 😉

Day 7: North of Iceland

The seventh day is dedicated to exploring the town of Akureyri, shopping for souvenirs, and preparing to head back to the capital, Reykjavík. On the way, we make a stop in the small town of Borgarnes to enjoy views of the Atlantic Ocean bay, then drive across the famous Sword Bridge, which from afar resembles a giant sword. Arrival in Reykjavík, overnight stay at a campsite, and free time for a walk or relaxation.

Day 8: Reykjavík – The Northernmost Capital in the World!

The eighth day is also the last day of our adventure. We check out from the campsite and take a walk through the capital, Reykjavík, together with our guides. Afterwards, we have free time for souvenir shopping, enjoying Icelandic coffee, and the best cinnamon rolls by the ocean. The most adventurous will have the chance to experience an exotic helicopter tour, seeing Iceland’s dramatic landscapes from a bird’s-eye view!

Finally, we head to the famous Blue Lagoon, where we’ll have time to relax in the warm milky-blue waters, try the natural silica face masks (which give the water its signature blue color), and unwind throughout the lagoon complex. After Blue Lagoon, we return the campervans and with organized transfer we go to the airport to say goodbye!

GEOTHERMAL SPA – BLUE LAGOON

Blue Lagoon is the most unique geothermal spa in the world!

Directly from the heart of Iceland, this natural thermal water is famous for its milky-blue color. Visiting this spa is definitely an experience you shouldn’t miss while in Iceland. Enjoy the warm, mineral-rich waters while the magical lava fields stretch out before you.

The lagoon complex features state-of-the-art showers, toilets, and changing rooms, 3 incredible restaurants serving Icelandic cuisine, 3 cafés where you can enjoy coffee with a view of the blue lagoon, and of course, a shop offering souvenirs and skincare products for face and body from the Blue Lagoon brand.

THE PLANE WRECK – SÓLHEIMASANDUR

You’ve probably seen this plane in some of the world’s most famous music videos!

In 1973, an American US NAVY DC-3 plane ran out of fuel and crash-landed on Iceland’s southern coast. All passengers survived, and after the crash, the wreck became a tourist attraction due to its striking location on Iceland’s black volcanic sands.

Famous artists like Justin Bieber and MEDUZA have filmed music videos at this site, making it an even bigger tourist attraction.

VIKING VILLAGE + VESTRAHORN + STOKKSNES

Similar to the Blue Lagoon but with a much more intimate atmosphere – these geothermal baths are hidden gems in northern Iceland, perfect for peace, nature, and an authentic experience away from the crowds. Many tourists never make it to this part of Iceland, which makes these baths a true hidden gem that you absolutely must visit! 🙂

WHALE WATCHING

Get ready for an epic adventure – Whale Watching from Reykjavík! This excursion is designed for true adventurers – 3 hours spent on a small boat, spotting whales across the fjords of the North Atlantic Ocean. REYKJAVIK CITY TOUR

A walk through the most unique city in the world!

Reykjavík is one of the most unique cities in the world, recognizable by its colorful houses, charming streets painted in every color of the rainbow, and the smell of the famous cinnamon rolls wafting from every corner!

Together with our guides, we take a stroll through the capital, wandering the colorful streets of the city center and along the oceanfront. We visit the unique Hallgrímskirkja Church, the famous Harpa Concert Hall, and take a lunch break to try the renowned “soup in a bowl” – Icelandic soup served in bread.

This is an excursion you absolutely cannot miss!

Campervan

We stay in a hotel with a million stars and the Aurora Borealis above! Your campervan will be your home on wheels throughout the entire trip (Fiat Doblo Maxi 2024).

The campervan is fully equipped with everything you need – sleeping space, pillows, sleeping bags, cooking utensils, foldable tables and chairs, a mini fridge, luggage storage, and a heating system…

*The campervan included in the package is designed for two passengers, and larger vehicles with higher capacity are available upon request.

IMPORTANT NOTICE:

To reserve your spot, a deposit of €300 per person is required, and the remaining balance can be paid no later than 45 days before the tour departure.

If you are traveling solo and want to have the campervan to yourself, an additional fee applies. Solo travelers also have the option to share a campervan with another solo traveler, in which case no extra fee is required. If you share a campervan with another solo traveler, Roam Around Iceland is not responsible for any issues that may arise during the trip.

Before making a reservation please check if you need VISA in order to enter Iceland. The campervans included in the package are designed for two people, and one of you will drive the vehicle. A standard driver’s license is required.

Larger campervans for two people or bigger groups are available for an additional fee – contact us for more information.
